Introduction
vm-bhyve is a bhyve manager for FreeBSD.
Prerequisites
Recent enough FreeBSD with ZFS. All commands below run as root.
Install
pkg install vm-bhyve pkg install grub2-bhyve bhyve-firmware # For non-FreeBSD guests
Configure
Configure Install
zfs create -o mountpoint=/vm tank1/vm
Add to rc.conf:
vm_enable="YES" vm_dir="zfs:tank1/vm"0"
Then run:
vm init
= Configure networking
vm switch create public vm switch add public bge0
